EIN National Working Groups

Authenticate the Voter

This PAG consolidates the prior groups on Citizens Only in American Politics and Voting, Voter Eligibility and Voter Rolls, and UOCAVA/Protecting the Military Vote. Responding to state feedback on the need for unified approaches to citizenship verification, it focuses on ensuring only eligible U.S. citizens vote through strict verification of citizenship, identity, and residency, while securing military and overseas processes. It leverages resources like DHS and NCOA for voter list maintenance.

Authenticate the Ballot

Transitioning from the Election Day, Ballot Security, and Voter Protection groups, this PAG reflects coalition calls for clearer emphasis on in-person safeguards. It prioritizes ballot integrity via precinct-based in-person voting with ID, public counting, limited early voting, excuse-only absentee voting, secure ballot return, and secure hand-marked paper ballots to prevent mishandling.

Authenticate the Message

This new PAG integrates resource sharing, messaging, and activation (drawing from elements like Banning Third-Party Election Interference). It directly responds to feedback requesting better multi-state/national resource deployment (tools, funding, materials, partners) to educate voters, collaborate with media/legislators/allies, activate grassroots for legislative wins, counter misinformation, oppose threats (e.g., ranked-choice voting, private funding), and amplify unified EIN messaging through policy briefs, op-eds, one-pagers, and social media.
